Visit Vatican and Honor Yourself by Attending a Papal Audience

Here, we’d like to skip the regular tourist spots for now, and introduce you the Papal Audience service in Vatican. This can be an unforgettable experience for many Catholics. But if you are non-catholics, this can also be a very special experience for you to taste the gracefulness of this Holy City.
What is a Papal Audience?
Papal Audience is the occasion that you can see the head of the Catholic Church in person, and receive a blessing from the Holy Father. The whole ceremony starts with a message delivered by the Pope Benedict XVI, the Holy Father, afterwards he will give his personal greeting to the various groups visiting the Audience in several different languages, and then you will receive the Blessing from the Pope Benefict XVI. If you have bring any religious articles (or any other articles) you want to receive the blessing, you can hope up the article(s) at that moment and let them got blessed.
Papal Audience occurs several time every Wednesday at around 10:30pm. Although you can easily watch the Papal Audience for free from a distance, officially, getting into a Papal Audience requires entrance tickets, which is hang out for free but you can make donation at the same time. Free tickets are only available on the Tuesday before. Ask if your hotel can book and get the tickets for you, or you can book via Santa Susanna Church and collect the ticket yourself the Tuesday before, or, you could wait in a rather long queue at St. Peter’s Square on Tuesday noon, where the Swiss Guards hand out tickets at their post to the right of the basilica. Sometimes the Pope is out of town, so please check the official website before you plan your trip.
Papal Audiences take place in the Paul IV Audience Hall by St. Peter’s Square or in the Square itself. Everybody are requested to dress conservatively, with shoulders and knees covered.

Getting into Vatican from Rome: take Metro line A to Ottaviano for St. Peter’s Square. From there you’ll be able to see other museum and attractions in Vatican without problem.
